There's a baby in there!

Yesterday was my first ultrasound! I adore ultrasounds and would probably get one once a week if I could.

Everything was perfect! Baby was all cute and was wiggling its little arms and legs. Heartbeat was strong at 178. Size is perfect. Baby measured at 9w1d putting due date at 3/25/13! Results were sent to my doctor and she said everything looks good and we're keeping my original due date of 3/26/13. That means we only have 216 days left.....oh lordy. ;)

Here's our little peanut!

Moving Sucks!

Moving has two sides....the excitement of a new place and all the memories to be made, but before you can jump on that ship you must first pack up your entire house and move. Ugh! I hate moving! And to top it off,  being pregnant your not supposed to do heavy lifting which leaves us in a bit of a pickle....
Thankfully with the bribe of free beer, Brett got one of his partners to help with the big stuff. So last Wednesday we moved the majority of our stuff to our new place. We still have some smaller things at the old place, but the uhaul was full and it was late. We've still got a week left on that lease, so we'll get around to it. Now we just have to unpack (50% accomplished) and make our new place feel like home.
Next time I move....I'm hiring movers. I'm not doing a thing! ;)

So that's where we've been for the past week. In between houses, going back and forth, unpacking little by little and trying to get settled in. I think I'll wait to decorate until next week....then I can make KK earn her keep for borrowing my couch ;) hehehehe

Our first day with the keys, we went over to clean and Kayden got to bring his big choo choo train! He LOVED it!!!  Choo choo's and pizza =)

Look at it go!

All of the cool kids have coozies on their sippie cups!

My sweet boy fell asleep on me this weekend. I adore this kid!!!

And since its my blog....I get to whine....I absolutely hate being pregnant! I go from feeling great to throwing up in the blink of an eye. Constant nausea, even the taste of water makes me want to vomit! Seriously??? Not to mention the fact that I've had a headache for over a week and absolutely nothing helps. Yes...I'm creating a life and its a beautiful proces...blah blah blah. Its my blog and not all pregnancies are wonderful. Then I get to factor in a full time job, a 2year old and a husband. Yes I know, I chose this, but I can still whine. This sucks! That's my rant for the day. I don't feel good and would so much rather be curled up on my couch under my fuzzy blanket than attempt to work. But here are some good things about baby #2....

Baby #2....

Whirlwind Weekend

The weekends always seem to be a whirlwind of fun/not enough time!
Since the heat in Oklahoma won't seem to go away we kept our weekend simple. Saturday morning we got up and went to the pool with Andrea and Reagan. I think these two could live in the pool!
Then daddy had the day off so we got to spend some much needed time with him!
Thankful for simplistic, quiet weekends. =)

We read our new Elmo book from Gamma!

He likes the flip up parts, but doesn't really get it....its cute.

We built a bridge with daddy

Look my choo choo can go through!

We ate dinner at Ihop

Kayden loves his pickles!

Breakfast in bed with cartoons!

Such a cutie!

And nighttime snuggles with mom!

Baby #2....
How far along: 7 weeks! Get to see the doctor in 9 days!
Total weight gain: -3
Best moments this month: Finding out and sharing with friends and family
Food cravings: this should be food aversions.....the only thing I can stomach is starches (waffles, cherrios, mac and cheese) its pathetic
Gender: No clue.....check back in November
Labor signs: negative ghost rider
What I miss: not being nauseated.....it is the worst pregnancy symptom ever!
What I am looking forward to: my doctors appointment and hopefully hearing the heatbeat!
Milestones: Baby is the size of a blueberry. Baby is generating one hundred new brain cells each minute!

It's HOTT!

Oklahoma isn't all that bad, but when you have 12 consecutive days of 100+ temperatures and a forecast that shows no sign of relief for the next 7-10 days.....well you find ways to stay cool or hole up inside your house. This weekend we did just that.

Friday when we got home, the sprinkler was positioned so that we either had to get wet to get to the apartment or walk around the entire building....needless to say we got wet. Kayden loves the sprinkler!

Random: this tree is just outside our apartment and everytime Kayden see's it he says "uh oh". Its precious!

Saturday morning Andrea and Reagan came over and we headed to the pool for some much needed relief. The kids had a blast! Reagan wanted to test the limits of where she could walk and Kayden was rambunctious as ever. Thankfully it wasn't super hott yet, so we were able to actually enjoy ourselves.

The rest of the weekend was spent indoors with the exception of church and the grocery store. Luckily we had the olympics to keep us entertained!

Silly faces with mom!

Nap time!

And yesterday after work, we decided since it was 111 degrees outside that we deserved some ice cream!!!!

YUM!!!

And since I didn't keep alot of notes about my pregnancy with Kayden (other than I was sick as crap), I'm going to try to do a little more with baby #2!

How far along: 6 weeks! Get to see the doctor in 2!

Total weight gain: -2 (the only negative sign I'll see for awhile!)
Best moments this month: Finding out and sharing with friends and family
Food cravings: nothing yet....
Gender: No clue.....check back in November
Labor signs: negative ghost rider
What I miss: being able to have a glass of wine! ;)
What I am looking forward to: my doctors appointment and hopefully hearing the heatbeat!
Milestones: Baby is the size of a sweet pea and has eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. The heart is also beating twice as fast as mine!

A Fun Filled Weekend

So this weekend I decided to take Friday off and extend my weekend. So the plan was Kim and Jacob were going to come up to Stillwater, we were going to pick peaches (there's an OSU farm that does research and then opens their gates to the public), after peaches we were thinking a swim. Sounds fun right?
Well we meet up, head to the peach farm and they are closed due to weather???!!!!! Are you kidding me??!!! Its only 90 degrees and your only open from 8a-12noon. Whatever. Guess peaches are out of the question. So we ventured back up to Stillwater, drove around to let Kayden nap, enjoyed lunch and then headed over to the pool to let the boys burn off some energy :) We had a blast! Hopefully the peach farm will open back up this week and I'll pick peaches and take them down to Kim!

Hey boys....up here!

Perfect!!!

Friday evening Brett had off work, so we called some friends and met up for dinner! At dinner there was a balloon guy making balloons for the kids....he made an Elmo for a table near us and Kayden went crazy! So the guy made Kayden an Elmo!! He loved it!!!

Kayden and Elmo

Look at my ELMO!!!

After dinner, we talked everyone into going to a place called Elevation Trampoline Park. Its basically a huge building filled with trampolines. There is a kids section, basketball and dodgeball court, the main jump area and a foam pit. We weren't sure if everyone would have fun, but it was AWESOME!!! I think the "big" kids had more fun than Kayden! Definitely a place we will go again (but only with proper stretching for the "big" kids)...hahahahaha

Jump with me!!!

Daddy and Nathan are tired....

I'm gonna jump over you!

Lets jump!!

Seriously the best idea ever!!!

Saturday we got up and did some Krazy Dayz shopping in Stillwater. I think the best purchase we made was a sucker....

It had Mater teeth!!!!

The rest of the weekend was spent inside avoiding the 105degree heat!!!

Popcorn

Popsicles

And with Brett on nights....I kinda like waking up to this sleeping face :)

Have a fabulous week!

Splash Pad Fun!

This weekend Kayden and I didn't feel like staying at home (ok fine, mom didn't want to stay at home). So Saturday we packed up the car and went to visit Kim and Jacob! (and Mike was there too). We hung out at the house and decided we were going to go to the splash pad. Well 2 little 2year olds decided otherwise. They were getting hungry, so after Kim packed an awesome picnic lunch, we unpacked and ate at the house. Then Jacob seemed tired, so we left him with Mike to take a nap and Kim, Kayden and I drove around town looking at houses. I have no idea where to start when it comes to buying a home, but thankfully Kim and Mike still have it pretty fresh in their minds, so they were a big help! (I forgot to take pictures but we had fun!)

I'll insert this picture instead....someone found out how much fun a ring pop is!

Sunday we decided to head down to perkins and check out their splash pad. Kayden loved it!!! I think we might have to work in a two week rotation with this! :)

Sooooo much fun!

All that splashing wore this kid out!

Like father, like son.
