A visit with Santa!

Last night my friend Andrea and I decided to take our kids to see Santa! Andrea's daughter is 15 months, so we figured this might be interesting with two young kids, but it was totally worth it.

So we get to the location and walk inside and both kids seem intrigued by this guy in a red suit with a beard. First Andrea takes Reagan up to Santa. She was fine in her arms, but the second she attempted to hand Reagan off to Santa, this child screamed bloody murder! It was hilarious and definitely worth the picture. She was quickly comforted and taken back into mom's arms. No harm done. ;)

Not so sure about this Santa thing....

Then it was Kayden's turn. I asked him if he wanted to go up the steps to talk to Santa and he tells me no and tries to go the other way! I pick him up and walk up the stairs and the whole time he's saying no, daddy... Too bad daddy wasn't there to save him! We get to Santa and he asks for a high five, so I give him a high five which makes Kayden think its ok, so he does it! Then we stand next to Santa to tell him what we want for Christmas and Kayden agreed to give Santa two hugs (he was hesitant, but he still did it!)

How'd you get me up here mom??

Telling Santa what we want for Christmas
(They were video taping, hence the microphone)

I'll give you a hug Santa

HUGS!

Overall a good experience for both kids. Maybe next year, they will actually want to see Santa.....maybe....

It's beginning to look alot like.....

Christmas! Well maybe look like because of decorations but the weather isn't working in favor of Christmas. Gotta love Oklahoma. Here's a little bit of what we've been doing and our start to the holidays :)

With the weather being awesome and the fact that we live a block from a city park.... we've spent some time at the park! Kayden loves it!

Last week was the City Christmas Parade of Lights, so I took Kayden to go see. This kid loved it!!! This is the first year where he is actually animated about whats going on and it is so much fun to watch him! And we stood next to two little girls who screamed the whole time, so I'm sure that added to his excitement.

Then Friday one of my close girlfriends had a sweet baby girl!!!! This was her 4th, so she had decided to wait until birth to find out! With our two being 3 months apart, I think they might be BFF's!

Welcome sweet baby Allison Grace!

And this weekend Kayden and I layed down with his big teddy bear because he was refusing to take a nap...needless to say....the nap won.

Baby #2

Baby at 24 weeks

I saw my dr this morning and everything is right on track. Baby is growing and heartrate was strong. Can't ask for much more. I had to do the glucose screen which isn't a ton of fun, but as long as I pass it should be smooth sailing! I'll see my dr again in 4 weeks.

Winter Pictures

Yes I am biased that my child is the cutest.....but he really is.
This weekend we had winter pictures done by Okie Girl Photography. She has a 4 year old of her own, so she fully understands the little quirks that come along with photographing a 2 year old. Needless to say the pictures aren't super cheesy cute, but they definitely show his little personality! ;) LOVE my child! Here are some of the best!

He's my favorite!!!

BIG Changes

With life there comes change... and I think its safe to say our family is in the midst of some BIG changes. No need to go into details, just need to focus on the two most important things in life: Kayden and his baby sister! So lets focus on them and only them. =)

Kayden is doing decent with the changes. He doesn't understand, but we're trying to keep him in a routine so he gets adjusted. Other than that, he's his ornery little self. Gotta love that little guy!

We had dinner out a couple of weeks ago.....this is from Kayden's viewpoint.

We made cookies!

Kayden has learned that the oven is hott and mom has to use oven mitts....

We went to the last tailgate of the season! Go Pokes!

I got lots of pictures of Mr. Kayden sleeping....he's just so cute I can't help myself!!!

If you look closely on his left hip, he's wearing daddy's badge. Daddy had it on and Kayden wanted to be just like him!

Can you find the sleeping baby???

Love this kid!

And Kayden got some new things!!

hahahaha....just kidding!!! Although it would have made this kids day!

a HUGE bear from RahRah

A new big boy bike! (Early Christmas present). Dad helped him put it together. I'll get more pics of him on it soon!

And our new big boy bed!!!

He LOVES it!

Quick Recap

So I'm not even sure what has happened over the past week. It kinda runs together....so I'm recapping through pictures.

Kayden got his flu shot last week....And he didn't cry!!! He knew something was up when I set him on the table. And the way it works is I get to hold his arms and the nurse holds his leg. So I leaned over to distract him....the look on his face when he got poked was "what the heck is happening?" But the nurse was quick, I stood him up, he gave the nurse a high-five, and opened the door to leave! No tears! I was shocked! So of course, we headed to get ice cream :)

The next day we ended up back at the doctors....someone just had to get pink eye. Turd.

Sunday we headed to Norman for cousin Alex's birthday. He's 10! Two whole hands! Kayden enjoyed stealing his presents and trying to open them....it was funny.

Then the week started....

And I got pink eye!!! This picture was on day 1. Day 2, my fat fingers spread it to the other eye. Needless to say I'm on day 7, still on eye drops, still wearing glasses, and still have slightly pink eyes. THIS SUCKS!!!

The rest of the week was dull...

Saturday was game day. Brett worked ridiculous hours. Kayden and I attempted to go visit (I had student tailgate section). So we went to lunch, did some shopping, and took a nap!

Passed out cold

The rest are just random pictures.

My sweetie!

Not sure why...but he put the pillow on himself

Love my buddy!

This guy can be cute when he sleeps too!

Baby #2

So I got to go back to the radiologist for a follow up ultrasound. Thankfully baby was cooperative and in 10 minutes the tech was done. We still couldn't get a clear profile picture, but it was sweet to see baby moving around.

Pink Eye for my Stink Eye

Yup! You guessed it! Kayden has pink eye....and not just in one eye, but both. Good thing we went to the doctor before the weekend started. Now we just have to do eye drops, 3x's a day for 7 days! This shall be fun.....
