The many sides of Kayden

This little guy is full of energy, never stops, and you never know what your gonna get. But I can't get enough of him!!!!

Smurf....blue shaving cream at school

He was mad I made him put on his big coat.....

But then he learned why....He wasn't quite sure what to think of it

But then he found it fun!

Jump!

Then we made cupcakes....and I keep them plain so K can decorate on his own, which he loves!

He's very particular

YUM!!!!

We also got some cool stickers in the mail, so I let him decorate the back of the front door

Check out the sword he got! Thanks daddy!

This kid didn't take a nap Saturday, so as I'm picking up the toys at bedtime, I turn around for 2 min and he's crashed. My sweet sweet angel.

And then he wakes me up with this ornery face! Gotta love him!

Cupcake for snack.....Thats one way of not getting your hands messy!

My little buddy this morning! Happy and ready for the day!

My babies

This picture deserves its own post. One of the few moments I have left with the sweetest boy in the world before baby sister gets here. I'm loving every second of it!

PURE LOVE

What a week/weekend!

Some weeks just fly by with all the craziness going on and things to get done. I think its safe to say its been one of those weeks. There is a lot to do at home, at work and lots to get prepared for. I'm very thankful for a little helper who doesn't mind helping out (most of the time). We've managed to clean the house, get more baby things ready, finalize important hospital preparations, be silly, visit Kim, Kaitlyn, Jacob and Mike, exhaust mom and Kayden is still going! What I wouldn't give for some of his energy right about now. :)

Drawing....he's so intense!

Bedtime rice krispie treat

Playing at mom's work

Cheese!

Silly faces

Tongue!

He wanted all his toy boxes on the ottoman....crazy boy.

Playing trains with Jacob

The boys playing with Kaitlyn's birthday presents

Such a happy boy with his balloon!

Baby Girl =)
Saw the dr on Friday. Everything looks and sounds perfect! Blood pressure is excellent, baby is growing right on track. So I'll see the dr in 2 weeks and then we are every week after that until birth! This little girl will be here in a month and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How far along: 35 weeks
Total weight gain: -13
Best moments this month: In the final homestretch!
Food cravings: Let's be honest....chocolate cake donuts with chocolate icing. Yup.
Gender: It's a Girl! I think the final decision has been made..... But it will stay a secret until birth!
Labor signs: Daily. 5 more weeks....5 more weeks....
What I miss: Finding a comfortable position....soooooo close!
What I am looking forward to: I get one final ultrasound in 2 weeks!
Milestones: Baby is the size of a coconut! Baby is head down in preparations to come out and its hearing has fully developed. Baby responds best to high pitch sounds.

simple and sweet

Its been a fairly quiet week around here. Very thankful for those weeks, as the future is looking chaotic. Kayden is his crazy little self. Always making a mess and being a little boy. I happened to get the stomach flu on Tues/Wed. Thankfully it was only 24 hours and that fell on daddy day, so I had some quiet time to get back to normal. Friday was Daddy Daughter dance at work. Dad took Kayden for the beginning of the dance and then dropped him off to me before he headed off to work. This weekend we went to a baby shower for Allison and Baby Bryce and then spent Sunday hanging out with Andrea and Reagan. Simple, sweet and just what we needed :)

Helping himself to crackers

Daddy Daughter Dance fun!!!

Kayden thinks his puppy and bear need their own pillow in bed....

Dinner date with Reagan =)

Artist!

Kayden is quite the little artist. He loves to paint, color, draw, basically anything. It keeps him occupied and so focused! I love it! This weekend Kayden got to paint a wooden dinosaur he had picked out at Hobby Lobby. It looks great and he is soooooo proud of it!

Painting Round 1

Round 2....he noticed he missed some spots!

The rest are just random pictures from our week. =)

Getting ready for baby

So I guess at 32.5 weeks its time to start putting things together for baby???? I guess..... it's a slow process when your pregnant, have a 2 year old and work full time (just sayin, its my blog and I can whine if I want too). I think I finally have most of the big things. Still need a double stroller, but the pack-n-play, crib, bedding, boppy, breast pump, moby wrap, swing, bouncer, carseat... have all been purchased. Now its just diapers, bottles, clothes, toys and we should be good to go! I'm sure I'm forgetting something but that'll do for now. So here's how prepping for baby looks:

This is normally what I feel like doing when I get home...

Good thing I have a super awesome boss!!!!

And I'd much rather spend my evenings looking into the eyes of my sweet little boy....

This kid has better eye lashes than me!!!

Things are still a mess but they are at least readily available.....but guests can't exactly sleep over....

And here is the baby bedding! I'm excited to get it washed and put together =)

The pack-n-play is set up in my room....Kayden thinks its for his puppy...won't he be surprised! We keep talking about baby sister, where she is and her coming out. He doesn't totally get it, but we're working on it.

Her wardrobe is starting to collect.....just need to do some laundry...

I saw my dr on Tuesday and she says baby is measuring perfectly! Blood pressure is great, my aches and pains are normal (nomal sucks!), and I'll see her again in 2 weeks. At the next appointment we'll decide if we want to go another 2 weeks and then start going every week or if we'll jump right into every week. Soooooo close!!!!!

24, 31 and 32.5 weeks....Grow baby Grow!

How far along: 32.5 weeks
Total weight gain: -17 .... finally gaining a little weight back
Best moments this month: Watching my belly dance. This girl likes to move!
Food cravings: Depends on the day....but I'm in love with Special K Oats and Honey cereal! Hits the spot every time.
Gender: It's a Girl! Devyn, Tenley, Tara, Emery, Raleigh, Reese, Lacey, Taylor.......still working on finalizing that one. But it will stay a secret until birth!
Labor signs: I go between regular contractions and braxton hicks. They suck!
What I miss: Sleeping....this belly is starting to make it difficult to sleep :(
What I am looking forward to: Holding my sweet baby girl!
Milestones: Baby is the size of a squash/durian! Baby should be head down and slowly running out of room, making those kicks even more uncomfortable. Baby is also keeping its eyes open when awake and its bones are hardening.

And this is what started to get me all anxious. A good family friend of ours, Allison, was due 2 weeks after me. Well she had a little complication and her sweet baby boy Bryce was born on Tuesday afternoon at 3:03pm, weighing 3lb 1oz, 15in long. Teeeeny tiny!! Thankfully God is watching over that little guy. He's breathing on his own, eating and is only scheduled to be in the NICU for 8 weeks!

Welcome sweet baby Bryce!

Allison holding him for the first time! Soooooo tiny and sooooo sweet!
