2 weeks old

We are two weeks old today!!! YEAH!!!! Kayden is growing like a bean and is right on track with where he should be. We saw the doctor today for our two week check up. He weighs 8lb 10oz and is 21in long now. Right in the 50th percentile, so absolutely perfect. We go back to the dr at 2 months old. :)

Playing with Daddy

We are enjoying every moment of Kayden and are super excited to see him grow up. Brett is pumped to get him crawling and walking so that the soccer lessons can begin :) If Brett gets his way, our weekends will be filled with soccer/t-ball/football practices and games. Kayden will be a busy little bee!

Brett/Daddy's birthday was this past weekend so we had lots of fun celebrating. It was a simple weekend due to him working, however we still had his favorite cake....

And after daddy got home from work, it was time for a nap, so we snuggled.

Everything else has been going great. Kayden is a very mellow/laid back baby and is definately a blessing to have. He loves to snuggle which both of us love during the day, but it is our biggest struggle at night. So we are working on getting the little guy to sleep in his own crib at night so that mommy can stop sleeping on the couch with him. And our newborn pictures are in! So be checking the mail to get yours :) Here's our favorite...

Meet Kayden Lee Palmer

He is here!!!!

Thursday May 13, 2010 at 3:18am Kayden Lee Palmer joined us! He was 7lb 7oz and 19 1/2in long with a gorgeous full head of hair. Absolutely perfect (of course we're a little biased ;) but thats ok).

The little guy

Everything went great. Labor and delivery were nothing like Brett and I had imagined. It was actually really laid back and relaxed and went super smoothly. The hospital staff was absolutely amazing and made us feel completely at ease. We stayed until Friday around noon and were able to go home. It was great to only have a short stay.

7lb 7oz

We want all of you to meet Kayden, so feel free to give us a call and come over to visit!! He will only be tiny for a little while. The Palmer family was able to visit in the hospital and got to meet the little man. The Janway family will be here in June to visit and Aunt Sarah will be here Friday. Just call us and we'd love to have you over :)

Kayden is a very mellow baby. He hardly fuss's, and is as sweet as can be. We have definately been blessed with a perfect baby. We both enjoy snuggling with him, whether he is awake or asleep and we can't wait to have him grow up and start playing with him. Brett is ready to teach him soccer, football, baseball and just run around. He is definately going to be one active little boy.

Baby's Room

The baby's room is ready for its new arrival :) A sweet baby BOY!!!

Crib and changing table/dresser are set up, toys are in their toy basket, clothes washed, folded and put away and baby video monitor ready to go and lots more.
We're ready for our little one to join us in just a short while.

Baby is going to have lots to do and explore! We can't wait for him to get here.

Dr appointments are going as planned. Nothing new to report other than its a waiting game. 12 days until Dday, so we will see when the little one decides to make his debut! We can't wait!

Brett is enjoying being on his own. He has had a great time learning the different processes of the department and next week will be in Bike School (not a motorcycle, but actual bicycle). Lots of training!! He got fitted for his helmet last week and is ready for what bike patrol will bring.

I'm ready for maternity leave. Everything is in place for me to go, so now I'm just waiting to call in for 4 weeks. :) And when I get back....all the fun will begin with soon to be changes and budget cuts.

Until then......let the waiting game begin!!!!
