Last Thursday we found out that Brett's grandfather, Papa Lee, had passed. So this weekend was spent in preparation for a quick trip to Afton, OK on Monday and Tuesday. Monday was the visitation and then we had a big family dinner. Tuesday was the funeral, which was beautiful. Papa Lee was a very loved person and its comforting to know he is in a better place. Funerals are such sad occasions, but its always great to see (and meet) family. During our down time, we had a great time just chatting with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. I met a whole new side of Brett's family and I'm so thankful for that! We had a great time just talking and getting to know each other. Thankfully Kayden was amazing during all of the funeral events! He was a fabulous stress reliever and was a great distraction. :) Kayden is actually named after his Papa Lee!
Papa Lee you will be missed but never forgotten! Love you!
The rest of the week, we have just kept it simple. Kayden is back at daycare and loving every minute of it. You can see how much fun he's been having in this picture...
This would be shaving cream.... (better them than me!)
Brett is gearing up for football season which starts tomorrow, and I'm trying to balance the jobs of two supervisors. I think we are all looking forward to a three day weekend!!!!
