Conference and Trips

The past two weeks have flown by! After halloween I was getting ready for a work conference and then a trip to Wyoming for a friends wedding. So that meant packing for the conference, wyoming and to send the kids to a friends for the weekend. Good thing I made a list.....I only forgot one thing!

Here are the kids in the tub. My friend Michele had a baby bath seat that she let me borrow for E. It's perfect! E can sit up and not fall over and I don't have to be half in the tub with her. Genius! Glad I found this little gadget.

My work conference was decent. Its a gathering of parks and recreation professionals. I found several great ideas to take back to work. One of the sessions I attended was a learning to draw class. Interesting, but it turned out kind of fun. Here is my artwork.

Then came Wyoming. This was my first trip without the kids. It was a football weekend, which meant Brett had to work. So I got my friend Stephanie to take the kids for the weekend. She was super excited. She and Ralph live on a farm, which meant K was going to be in heaven. And he was! He and Ralph were glued at the hip, and Stephanie got lots of snuggle time with E. I missed my babies but knew they were in good hands.

They worked him a little too hard.....

The bride of the wedding (Cara) had no clue Michele and I were coming. We had schemed through her now husband (Colter) to plan everything. It worked out perfectly. We showed up to her house and shocked her. And then we spoiled her all weekend. It was great to see her and share in her special day. And it was fabulous to get away, just us girls. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. And we were definitely ready to come home to our babies.

Scheming at the airport!

This week, we've just been trying to catch up on sleep and staying sane. E, K and I all got flu shots on Monday. We've never had a problem with them. However this time, K's leg swelled up and he developed hives. He is obviously allergic to something in the shot this year. Just no clue what. So we've had 3 days of steriods.....not fun.

Now its onto the weekend! Let's hope its simple!!!
