Elf on the Shelf

Elf on the Shelf was super popular last year, but they kids weren't old enough to get it. So this year, I decided to start this fun tradition. After thanksgiving and the tree was up, the first present arrive and it was our very own elf, a book and a movie. Awesome!

The way it works, is the elf is sent from the north pole to help keep an eye on all the little girls and boys. He has special Christmas magic that lets him fly to the north pole each night while you are sleeping. Each morning he appears in a different spot, and the kids get to search to find where he has landed. The only rule, is that you can't touch the elf or he will loose his magic. After Christmas is over he returns to the north pole and will come again next year!

The kids love the elf!! Step 1 was to name the elf. We talked about various names, and K decided on Kicker. Not too shabby. So Kicker it is. We watched the movie a few times and both kids loved it. So night one the kids went to sleep and Kicker flew to the north pole. The next morning, they were excited to go find him!

Here are his adventures thus far.....

Stay Tuned for more Kicker Fun!!!
