9 month pics

Kayden turned 9months old about a week ago and that meant it was time for our 9 month pictures! In order to save a little money we decided to take them ourselves. So we borrowed Grandma Lanny's fancy camera (Thank you Lanny!!) and did a little photo shoot of our own. Here are the results! (You'll get yours in the mail soon!)

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! We hope all of you had a great day! We had an interesting day to say the least...

My shirt says I'm #1 with the ladies :0)

Today we had our 9mo check up. All is well. We are right where we are supposed to be and are progressing perfectly! Kayden weighs 22lb 10oz (75th percentile) and is 29 1/2in long (90th percetile).

However Kayden had developed a cough and a wheez.....well after a little test we found out we have RSV. Its basically a bad cold, but if left untreated it can turn into bronchitis or pneumonia. So now we are on a steriod twice a day and a nebulizer every 4hours. Kayden is doing wonderful with both! You can tell that the nebulizer is helping him breathe better and he's learning to sit still while its going. The mask even looks like a dinosaur! Its super cute. The bad side is that he is highly contagious, which means he can't go to daycare and Brett and I are taking time off work to take care of him. Hopefully this goes away soon and we can go back to normal soon. Other than the cough he's his normal little self which is nice.

Snowed in

What a week! It has been crazy this past week. Kayden has been sick, we've had a foot of snow and -20 wind chills, daycare has been closed, my office has been closed.....you get the picture. Kayden stayed home all week last week, some due to sickness, some due to snow closings. And thankfully after a second dr appointment and a second antibiotic, we are finally getting better!!!!! YEAH!!!!! A double ear infection and a runny nose makes for one "fun" baby. Oy vey. But we made it through.

Luckily Saturday it warmed up and we went shopping with Aunt Katie. We got lots of goodies including a new car seat for Kayden. And while we were shopping at Babies R Us, we had the chance to enter a diaper dash with the chance of winning 3months worth of diapers. So we entered. Twice. Kayden is normally a great crawler, but I think he was overwhelmed by the other kids and cheering parents. He just sat there. It was adorable. We had fun even though we didn't win any diapers.

Cruisin'

Kayden is cruising like a pro! He loves being able to get around the house. The baby proofing has begun, although he disregards everything. He knows he spoiled rotten and can get away with anything. But with that cut little grin how can one say No? =0) Here is a video of Kayden cruisin...

Everything else is going great. Kayden is starting table foods and likes some while others just end up in his lap. Meal time is always fun. He loves to splash in the tub, is doing great at daycare, his top two front teeth have poked through the gums, weighs around 23lbs (we went to the dr), currently we are fighting a double ear infection...not fun but he's being a trooper, and is being an all around little boy.
