Pre K

So my sweet little boy is going to big kid school next year!
I cannot believe how big he is. I am so proud of this guy and can't wait to see who he becomes as he grows.
Come August he will be a WestWood Eagle!

Easter

Easter happened to fall on the Arts Festival weekend, but luckily I was able to sneak away on Friday and go to the kids Easter Egg Hunt at school. This was the first year that both kids were able to participate so Brett and I split up. He went with K and I went with E. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast, got lots of eggs and we had a great time.

Waiting for the hunt to start

E did great at putting them in her basket

K even posed with the easter bunny =)

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

Welcome Gavin!

Easter weekend was the due date for Brett's brother Matt and his wife Andrea...
Well a few days early the little guy decided to make his grand appearance!
Baby Gavin and mom (and dad) are doing well!
Brett got the chance to meet him, but I was busy with the arts festival, so I'll meet him soon!

Jordan "Jordo" Janway

The one thing that makes you realize how short life is, is the passing of a loved one.
A few weeks ago, we had that happen in the Janway Family. My dad's brother Jack, lost his son Jordan in a sky-diving accident. Jordan or "Jordo" as everyone called him was taken too soon. Although I didn't know him well, I know what it's like to loose a brother and I know that Jordo will be missed greatly.

The good thing that came from his passing was the chance to see my family. Being so far away our trips are far between, but my parents and little sister were able to drive down and spend a few days with me and the kids. I soaked up every minute that I could :)

Okc Zoo

A few weeks ago, Brett took a trip to Colorado for a week which meant the kids and I were finding fun things to do by ourselves. The weekend that B was gone, the weather was perfect so we packed up in the car and went to the Zoo! This was the first time that K was super interested in the animals. We ended up spending 4.5 hours and saw pretty much everything!

We arrived to the giraffes at feeding time, so we were able to feed them romain lettuce.
It was awesome!

The bears were out for a swim!

We enjoyed some corndogs on the deck next to the little lake

And it was both kids first time on the carousel!

We ended up going twice!

E pooped out  after the carousel ride

And we finished off the day with a ride on the choo choo train.
