Our Big Boy!

I think Kayden gets bigger by the day! He's tall enough to reach the door handles (gotta keep the dead bolts locked!). He is constantly babbling, like he's carrying on a conversation. He is learning baby sign language and is doing great! He's becoming such an individual!

Water Baby

Since its so freakin hott down here already, Kayden and I have spent lots of time at the pool, and we just purchased a new water table this weekend!! Kayden loves to splash around, whether its in the pool, bathtub, toilet (Brett forgets to put the seat down), or anything else that has water in it! He's so stinking cute.
Our apartment has a kiddie wadding pool, which is perfect for Kayden. But he always is distracted by the other kids and wants to go in the big pool. He's definately a handful when we go to the pool, but it wears him out which means nap time is fabulous! :0)

However the heat has been intense and has made it hard to go to the pool. So we bought a water table to put on the porch, where we can play outside in the shade. Kayden LOVES it!! We put it together and had water in it in a matter of 15 minutes. It was a fabulous investment! Kayden splashed for over an hour (I had to fill it up twice!). Then it was nap time, and after nap time while we waited on dinner he played some more. He adores it. So glad we bought it!

Never Slowin Down



Things never slow down at our house, no matter how tired we are. Kayden wakes up and wants to play! Kayden has quite the personality. He knows what he wants, and when he wants something he normally gets his way (I think thats only child syndrom!) His new trick is riding his firetruck. He knows how to get on and off it, and has figured out how to push himself using his feet. Its super cute. But when he runs into things, he gets mad that he can't go any farther. One step at a time...

We had a great Fathers Day, dad spent the day sleeping because he worked. So Kayden and I went for a drive to look at rent houses. Then we had a big family dinner and played all evening. Very simple, but enjoyable (especially when it was 102 outside!)

Its already June!!

I can't believe this year is already half over! Yikes! Its been a busy year so far, which has made everything go by fast. Lets see what we're up to now...


Kayden has 12 teeth, with 2 more coming in! Eeekkk! He is starting to become a picky eater, but its not too bad. He's starting to climb on things, which in return means he falls off things...mainly the couch. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way. He loves to play outside, attack his daddy and throw food on the floor. He has switched to sleeping on a cot vs in a crib at school! He did that transition super well. His pacifier...well thats a whole other story....I keep telling myself soon, but it just comes in so handy. He has learned how to dance! It is super stinkin cute! And he is definately loving the pool. We try to go every weekend and he has absolutely no fear. He walks from the baby wading pool over to the big pool and would jump on in if his mother would let him (she's super mean) hahahahaha. He is definately a handful but super fun.

Mom and dad are busy too. Mom is taking over a new facility...more work, same pay...I guess thats how things work currently, plus budget cuts. And I'm fighting bronchitis right now. Oh joy. Brett is still on nights and is starting to look into getting his Bachelor's degree! Wooohooo!!
