Weekend fun

A normal weekend at our house consists of me and the kids playing during the day until Brett wakes up around 5, and then we spend the evenings together. But every once in a while, Brett gets the weekend off and we get to spend it together! Wahoo!!!

This weekend was spent playing, we rented movies and had a movie night at home, went to church and then had a picnic lunch and visited the ducks at Theta pond. And finished it off with a bubble bath. The best weekend we have had in a while. Love my little family.

Be My Valentine

I kinda like valentines day. Its a day to celebrate the love we have for each other. =)

Valentines day for us was simple. We dressed the kids in cute red outfits and sent them to school. That afternoon K had a party at school, so we joined him. Then we took the kids to the park. A simple and enjoyable valentines, spent with my three favorite valentines.

How cute are these two?!

K thought the bunny ears were hilarious!

Then he tried to make moose ears!

I even got beautiful flowers from Brett ;)

I need a vacation!!!!!!!!!

When it rains it pours, right? Well the rainy season needs to go. I'm done.

So last week little miss E was sick. Well the poop disappeared and her ears have been fine.

However....
Thursday I get sick. I went to the walk in clinic because I was in a hurry and she said bronchitis which is most likely viral and nothing I can do about it. Kill me.

Friday I just got worse. Friday was also Dancing with Daddy which is my favorite event of the entire year! So I sucked it up and worked all night, while Brett kept the kids. I left early and good thing I did because I was exhausted.

Saturday was miserable. I pretty much let K watch tv all day, I laid on the floor and somewhere around noon it was obvious that E wasn't feeling good either. Needless to say she spiked a fever and was fussy and miserable with me. Lots of snuggles.

Sunday wasn't much better. E woke up with a crazy bloody nose. I guess the dry winter air wasn't kind. So again, we pretty much snuggled all day and tried to get better.

Monday E was her normal little self and off to school she went. K has managed not to catch it. Thank goodness! I went back to the doctor and finally got some meds that seem to be working. Although he randomly found a hold in my septum in my nose. whatever. I'm done. I have no voice but am feeling better.

On a brighter note, Kayden has moved up to the big kid class at school =) This is the oldest class he can move to. He absolutely loves it. The next stop is pre-K next year! Crazy!
Emery moves up to the infant/toddler room on March 3. Where did all babies go?!?!?!?!

We don't feel good....

Happiness

This morning my alarms woke me up and as I groaned and laid in bed not wanting to get up, I listened to the silence. Brett was beside me snoring (not so sweet, but being on different schedules I love when he's actually there at night), Kayden slept in his bed the whole night and was still asleep and Emery was in her bed. It was peaceful, quiet and it made me smile. I'm a lucky girl.

And then I heard the shuffling of two little feet, and in came Kayden. He curled up in my arms and just snuggled quietly for a few minutes. Absolute perfection. Nothing makes me happier than my family. Nothing.

While I was getting ready Kayden was watching TV or so I thought. I hear a faint cry of "mom! help! I stuck!". Yup he had gone into Emery's room and climbed into the crib and couldn't get out.

That's how I started my day. ;) I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Can't catch a break

Sometimes it seems like I can't catch a break. And with this year's winter being all over the place...I don't think a break is in my future.

This weekend little miss E had diahrea ALL weekend. Yup. Disgusting. Oh and the blowout she had at dinner Saturday night, she was lucky we had just bought her a new outfit and had it in the car.  So that meant she couldn't go to daycare Monday. So off to the doctor. No clue on why all the poop, however we did discover a double ear infection. Ugh. So that means amoxicilin. However that can add to the pooping......so now we are on a lactose free diet for 3-4 days along with the brat diet. Thankfully she's acting fairly normal and has gone back to school as of this afternoon! She's a trooper.

Oh and the weather here in Oklahoma is fabulous. We have 2" of gorgeous snow and now the wind chills are going to be -10 to -15. Yippee! Vacation anyone? Tahiti? Warm thoughts.......
