Quick Recap

So I'm not even sure what has happened over the past week. It kinda runs together....so I'm recapping through pictures.

Kayden got his flu shot last week....And he didn't cry!!! He knew something was up when I set him on the table. And the way it works is I get to hold his arms and the nurse holds his leg. So I leaned over to distract him....the look on his face when he got poked was "what the heck is happening?" But the nurse was quick, I stood him up, he gave the nurse a high-five, and opened the door to leave! No tears! I was shocked! So of course, we headed to get ice cream :)

The next day we ended up back at the doctors....someone just had to get pink eye. Turd.

Sunday we headed to Norman for cousin Alex's birthday. He's 10! Two whole hands! Kayden enjoyed stealing his presents and trying to open them....it was funny.

Then the week started....

And I got pink eye!!! This picture was on day 1. Day 2, my fat fingers spread it to the other eye. Needless to say I'm on day 7, still on eye drops, still wearing glasses, and still have slightly pink eyes. THIS SUCKS!!!

The rest of the week was dull...

Saturday was game day. Brett worked ridiculous hours. Kayden and I attempted to go visit (I had student tailgate section). So we went to lunch, did some shopping, and took a nap!

Passed out cold

The rest are just random pictures.

My sweetie!

Not sure why...but he put the pillow on himself

Love my buddy!

This guy can be cute when he sleeps too!

Baby #2

So I got to go back to the radiologist for a follow up ultrasound. Thankfully baby was cooperative and in 10 minutes the tech was done. We still couldn't get a clear profile picture, but it was sweet to see baby moving around.

Happy Halloween and Boo!!!

We expanded halloween over several days and events, here's a little recap of our fun :)

Sunday we carved pumpkins! We cut the tops off of the pumpkins and cleaned out the guts....we tried to get Kayden to touch the guts but he wouldn't have anything to do with it! However once we got our little carving kit out which had a special little scooper, Kayden seemed more interested. He didn't touch any of the guts, but his scoop found some seeds. Lol. My kooky little child. Then someone got cranky and needed a nap. So.....Kayden napped and Brett and I carved. It was perfect! When Kayden got up he had three pumpkins all carved! Dad even carved a special one just for Kayden! He loves the pumpkins. He comes home and wants the lights turned on inside them.

Showing off his pumpkins

Tuesday was mom's work event, the 22nd Annual Halloween Fest. Dad brought Kayden to do some trick or treating downtown. Well someone wasn't a fan of their costume and wanted nothing to do with it. So he stripped down to his shorts and tshirt. Then he was only compliant if he had a piece of candy....... Needless to say he and dad left shortly thereafter. He got a couple of pieces of candy but it just wasn't his cup of tea. Guess we'll try again next year when he's older.

The only picture we got of Kayden in his race car driver costume.

Wednesday was Halloween!!! Daycare was having a party for all the kids that afternoon. I couldn't attend, so I just sent his costume with him. And much to my surprise....he wore it for 2 hours!!! I guess having his friends dressed up helps. They had treats and goodies and from the sounds of it had a great time. Sad that I couldn't go, but its not the end of the world. After daycare we decided not to go trick or treating since Kayden doesn't really get it and mom and dad didn't need any more candy. So we went out to dinner and came home just as it got dark. So we grabbed our glow in the dark bubbles from OB and Lanny and headed outside. Kayden LOVED them!!! The bubbles didn't glow much, but the bottle and the solution sure did!

Glow in the dark bubbles!

Bubbles!!!

As simple as our festivities were, Kayden got to enjoy Halloween and we got our share of candy. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
