Kayden has a keen sense of memory...its amazing what he catches onto.
Example - Monday morning I took a shower and when I got done I found Kayden with daddy's razor and shaving cream.....and a cute little cut on his chin. Yes, my not even 2 year old thinks its time to shave his face.
He also knows which car is mom's and which car is dad's. When we were in Colorado, we walked past a Jeep and Kayden says "dada!" Yes, daddy drives a Jeep, but that's not his. At school, if he is outside near the fence when I pull into the parking lot, he recognizes my car and gets soooooo excited! Its precious! And then everyday when we pull into our parking lot, he yells "dada!" He knows he's almost home!
This kid is too smart for his own good!
So we try to let him "drive" our cars, when we can because he likes to. He knows that he needs the key, and he actually knows where the key goes. Oy.... But the other night we were out and about and he refused to get into his seat, because he wanted to drive. Anything for my crazy man.
Weekend craziness descibes our weekend to a T!
This weekend was the City's 35th Annual Arts Festival, which I am heavily involved in. So that mean between Friday morning and Sunday evening I worked 39 hours. Yikes!
So that meant dad took the weekend off and spent it with Kayden! Normally that would be ok, but Kayden decided to get diahrea.....hehehehehe...... Let's just say daddy and I were both sick of changing diapers this weekend. Not exactly sure what is wrong, but he is slowly improving.
So we definitely had a long weekend (all 3 of us!), and we are glad that we're getting back into a normal routine....for a couple of weeks.
Next weekend all heck is gonna break loose.....Gamma, Papa, Rebecca and Sarah all come into town on May 4th for Katie's graduation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So it's been awhile....sorry things with a 2 year old and a full time job can be time consuming. Here's a little catch up.

EASTER
Easter weekend was very quiet at our house. Friday Kayden had a little parade at school and easter egg hunt. I went to watch him. He seemed to enjoy it. Then Sunday we did our own little hunt at home....but once he figured out there was candy inside the eggs it was over. Hahahaha....

So we come home Friday evening and Kayden wanted cereal, so he decided to help himself to the box. Doesn't bother me....until he decided he needed a bowl. He couldn't find one so he just dumped them out into his water table. Needless to say we had to buy a new box of cereal....
Last weekend was filled with wonderful Oklahoma storms, mom getting bronchitis, and so we just relaxed at home.
Kayden didn't want to go to bed one night...so he stayed up next to me while I did homework....he didn't last long!

So I thought I'd share this for my side of the family. Katie doesn't have the best of english skills nor does she have artistic tallent.... We are playing this game called draw something....this is what she draws. Good thing her degree is in Statistics!
Last night I was cooking dinner and Kayden wanted to help. So we gave him a pot and spoon and some hamburger buns....he loved it!

Katie is graduating next month and at OSU it's a big thing to decorate your cap. Well since Katie isn't artistic she entrusted me to create her a magnificent design. So we agreed on a CALCULATOR!!!!! Isn't it awesome?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Whew! What a weekend!
Saturday Kayden and I headed to Edmond to visit Kim, Katilyn and Jacob. We had a blast! Kim got their water table out for the season and the kids LOVED it! I think we had to fill up the table at least 15 times! They enjoyed it!

Sunday was just as much fun. We headed over to play with Amy Jo and Nash. The two of them played trucks, chalk, rode bikes, played baseball and enjoyed a snack before nap time interrupted!
Then we headed home, enjoyed nap time and played on the porch in our water table.
Forget the water table, lets play in the cooler!
And you can't have a good weekend without getting daddy!
And since Oklahoma is already ridiculously HOTT, someone got a hair cut!
