Yesterday there was a birthday at school and so everyone got a fun goodie bag, which included a temporary tattoo..... He looks pretty tough if you ask me!

Back on track

I think we are finally back on track....(knock on wood).

Kayden has 3 doses left of his antibiotic for his ear. Good thing because it looks like chalk and he acts like it tastes like chalk. He's been a champ taking it though!
Emery supposedly had a fever last Wednesday at school, but once I picked her up there was no fever, and she had to be fever free for 24 hours before she could go back....yeah she never had a fever. I swear their thermometer is broken. Oh well. She spent a fabulous day with me at the office. Sooooo lucky my job lets me bring my kids! But her cough is almost gone which is nice.
Oh and my pink eye is FINALLY gone!!!! I am wearing contacts for the first time in 10 days. Hallelujiah!

So our weekend was fun. Kayden is all about picking out his clothes and pjs. And for some reason is obsessed with socks.  No joke. He is wearing his tennis shoes so he can wear socks. He even demands to wear socks to bed. Its funny.

He is doing great on potty training, this weekend he asked to go poop twice and he did!!!!! I'm soooo proud of him! All in his own time. Which I'm ok with.
I also found this really cool app for my phone that lets you play with the duck dynasty beards. Hilarious!

Saturday we threw Carrie a baby shower, so we made chocolate covered pretzels. Yum!!! And after the shower we played with Reagan outside in the water table! Sooo much fun.

Little miss Emery is full of surprises. We have been swaddling her when she goes to sleep, well lately she's been fighting it. This morning I asked her teacher if she did the same with them, and their response was yeah, we stopped doing that a couple of weeks ago when she started rolling over. Wait...what?! My baby is rolling over??!!! She's only rolling over for them while she sleeps, but she has always preferred to sleep on her belly. Guess I'll stop swaddling her at night. Sometimes there needs to be more communication. This girl surprises me all the time!

This momma is tired, grumpy, exhausted, annoyed, just wants to pee alone, etc., etc., etc.
Yes I'm throwing a pity party for myself, and I'm ok with it.

So last week we ended with two dr appointments and headed into the weekend. Well the weekend wasn't too terrible. Saturday we went to a wedding which was fun. And the rest of the weekend was spent playing indoors because it is RIDICULOUSLY hott and humid here! Ugh!! That only adds to my annoyed mood.

However, Friday Emery started acting fussy and wasn't herself. So she spent all weekend coughing, I'm still pink in both eyes, however Kayden is back to normal. So Monday morning rolls around and I make E a dr appointment, only thing is they can't get her in until Tuesday afternoon. Ok, whatever. Good thing it was 24hours later.......because.....

Monday night Kayden's ear started to look red again, and by Tuesday morning.... it was swollen again. So a call back to the dr got two kids an appointment this afternoon.

Emery is just suffering from a cold. Lots of congestion, but nothing serious. Thank goodness. She's so little I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Kayden, well we still aren't sure. But to be on the safe side we are treating the "bug bite" with antibiotics incase there was a secondary infection.

Oh yeah....and my eyes are still pink. Pink eye is the devil.

So after the dr, we all went home and took a family nap! I can't get enough of these!!!
And thanfully Brett took Kayden for the evening, so I only have one child to take care of.
Although I'd much rather my mom come take care of us all! Could you move closer? That would be great. K. Thanks. Bye.

The this morning I woke up and couldn't open my left eye.....

Yup. You guessed it. Pink Eye.

Pink Eye sucks.

 

Yeah.....lets hope nothing else happens this weekend.
