Almost new years!

Its almost NYE and I'm already tired.... yesterday was a long day and today has already been busy. Here's the recap:
Yesterday Kayden had a blast at daycare!!! Check out this adorable picture from his teacher when they were outside!

Then we attempted shopping with Cara (that didn't work out so well), so we grabbed a pizza and headed home to daddy. Kayden enjoyed playing with Cara's boots!

 

Today, we got up and ate cold pizza for breakfast (best food ever!), then we hung out with Cara and played with Easton's toys (don't tell him!).

Now its nap time.....

the Last Friday of the year!

Its the last Friday of the year....I can't believe it! Tomorrow I'll do a recap of the year...today, just short and sweet.

Kayden is slowly adjusting to the new daycare. He is at the seperation anxiety stage where he doesn't want me to leave....it hurts my heart to walk away from his crying. But then his teacher texts me with this picture, and I know everything is ok!

I guess someone needs a tricycle!

These short weeks sure do seem to fly by!

Day 2 at daycare....Kayden did good. He's adjusting slowly but seems to be a good fit. He is the oldest kid in his classroom, but they all seem to be fairly close in age. I love the face that they have webcams so I can check up on him. Best thing ever!!!

New Daycare Day!

Today is our first day out our new daycare! Kayden was timid this morning, but I think he'll like it. I'm super excited about this daycare, and one of my favorite parts is.....they have a video monitoring system where parents can login and are permitted to view certain rooms that their child is in. So any time I want I can login and see what my little guy is doing. Right now he's sleeping! Its soooooo cute! And as I typed that he woke up, kinda looked around, saw a toy, went around the other sleeping kids and took the toy into the other room! Love my child!!! Here's a view of him sleeping...

December 26

Oh the day after Christmas.....today was supposed to be simple, but who likes simple. How about an impromptu road trip to the city to do some shopping? Yes please! Cara, Easton, Kayden and I, all piled into the car and went to the city! We went to target and did some shopping, looked at cars, and then headed to the mall for cookies and the play area! So much fun!!!

After the mall, Cara and Easton headed back to Stillwater and Kayden and I met up with Dad at Marcia's house for more Christmas presents! We got to see everyone, had some yummy food and of course everyone's favorite..presents! Kayden made out like a bandit! He's so lucky!! After we got home, we set up his dinosaur train track from Marnie, and he loves it!!

Christmas Day!

Its finally here!!! Christmas Day has come!!! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!

We had a really good relaxing Christmas day, just what I wanted! Daddy had to work, so Kayden and I joined him and the other officers at the station for lunch. We had some great food and had fun playing in the briefing room. Then Kayden and I went home for nap time :) Our favorite time of the day.

After dad got home from work we were finally able to open presents!! Kayden has a blast tearing off the paper. He got a bunch of cool presents, such a lucky little boy!

Its Christmas Eve!!!

So excited that today is Christmas eve! We had a great day today. We did a little shopping while daddy was at work, ate a fabulous dinner, and then we put on our jammies and had a pajama party with Cara! We watched Christmas movies, ate popcorn, and little man stayed up until 10:30! A fabulous day. We are looking forward to tomorrow, we're having lunch at the police department with dad and the other guys, and then enjoying our Christmas evening together!

Its Friday! Its Friday! Its Friday!

So glad that this work week is over and I can spend 3 uninterupted days with my 2 favorite boys. I love them!!

Not much happened today. I went to work alone (yippee!!!) and Kayden and Brett spent the day together. Uncle Matt came up and hung out for a little bit. I think they had fun together having a boys day. And then after I came home, both boys got a hair cut, someone took a bubble bath and then we watched Dolphin Tale (super cute movie, I'd recommend it, great family movie). I like simple friday nights like this!

Wednesday after we left OB and Lanny's, we decided to drive through Chesapeake to see their Christmas lights.....they are nuts! At one point all of the trees go to bright white lights (we thought maybe we had died and gone to heaven!) And then they change colors. Its a little intense to say the least, but its kinda fun to see.

So yesterday while grocery shopping we decided to buy a gingerbread house kit!!! It was super simple and soooo much fun! Kayden had a blast!!

Christmas with OB and Lanny

Wednesday we went to the city and had Christmas with OB and Lanny! It was super fun!! Kayden got some really cool gifts and he loves ripping off the paper! Here are a couple of pictures of the kiddo.

4 days until Christmas....lets see what today (Wednesday brought)...

Kayden stayed home with daddy today. I went into work late so we could have breakfast together. Then I took the afternoon off so we could do some shopping and then visit OB and Lanny for an early Christmas!
