Christmas 2014

This year Christmas was a little different. Our family was all separate, this was the first year that B and I were truly separated, it was just different. I thankfully had the kids and we made the most out of the day. Christmas Eve we attended church. I let K come to big church, so he could see it all. My favorite part is singing silent night by candle light. I let K have his own candle and he was in heaven! Then we went home to make cookies and head to bed.

Santa had made his stop at our house that night and the kids were excited to open presents. My living room was covered in wrapping paper! Then we made green waffles for breakfast, charged up batteries, called the family, played outside, enjoyed a nap, and had a really good day.

The Adventures of Kicker Part 2

Kicker has continued in his adventures and the kids love it! K wakes up every morning and goes in search of him. When E gets up K makes sure she knows what he did. Its precious! The last part of kicker is that he goes back home to the north pole on Christmas Eve. So he has officially gone home for the year. I'm sure he will make his appearance next year. Until then...

K & E Christmas Parties

The week before Christmas was a little crazy. Each kid had a Christmas party and pajama day, both parties required snacks, each was on a different day, and so were the pajama days. My eyes were spinning, but we managed to make it to everything...yay!

For K's party, we made snowman string cheese, and then every child brought a wrapped book. They played "musical chairs" and each child got to pick a book. So everyone ended up with a new book. Awesome idea!

E's party was much simpler. I guess 1 1/2 year olds don't really know how to party. It was also a bittersweet day, as it was Miss Amy's last day. She is my absolute favorite teacher we've had there and I will miss her terribly. Good thing she's just student teaching and will still be around to babysit!

we love you Miss Amy!

Pre-Christmas Festivities

Leading up to Christmas we made sure to enjoy all of the fun activities that were going on. We visited Santa, looked at Christmas lights, went for a horse drawn carriage ride, went to okc to look at more lights, built a gingerbread house, and the week of Christmas both kids spent the week at work with me. Lots of fun! Love spending time with my babies.
