One Year Pics

With someone turning the big one, we had to do our 1 year pics! We ended up on OSU's campus at Theta pond and surrounding areas. Theta pond had several ducks on it, and Kayden went crazy!! He wanted to catch the ducks. It made for some very interesting picture taking, but they came out very personal and really show Kayden's spunky personality. And thank you Lanny for letting us borrow your camera! Here are our favorites! Yours are in the mail.  :0)

Birthday's with the Janway's

2 weeks ago the Janway crew came into town for a visit! Mom, Dad, Rebecca came down from Michigan, Sarah came up from Texas and Katie and I were already here. :0) It was great to have them here for the week. We were able to have one BIG birthday party. We celebrated Kayden's birthday, Katie's birthday, Mom's birthday, Sarah's birthday, Brett's birthday and Fathers Day! and yes we sang Happy Birthday  five times! We weren't sure if Kayden was going to last until the 5th time....he followed the cupcakes go around the room.

One Year Stats

At our 1 year check up we had the following stats:

Weight: 25lbs (75-90th percentile)
Height: 31 1/2in (95th percentile)

The dr gave us some things to work towards (no more bottle, or formula) and she was impressed that we had already switched!

Kayden is right where he should be developmentally and she said he was perfect!

He did have to get 5 shots! Ouch! But he did great. He has a small rash from one, but its not too bad and should go away soon. Overall he did perfect.

Our next visit is at 15months (with no shots!!!!)!!!

The big ONE!

Kayden is 1!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it?! A year ago we had a sweet little cuddly baby who slept all the time, now we're chasing a running toddler around the house who giggles and screams! So much can change in a year, but we are so very blessed with Kayden. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and we love each and every day we have with him.

His birthday celebrations have been spread out over a two week period, which he is definately enjoying. the decorations are driving me crazy but he loves them! Especially his balloons! On his actual birthday he took cupcakes to school, which they all loved! And then we had a simple family birthday at home. Kayden actually got his gifts from us on wednesday.

Then on Saturday we participated in the Cystic Fibrosis walk  with our friend Andrea. We had a great time and enjoyed the morning.

After the walk we came home, took a nap and had all of the Palmer's over for dinner and presents! We had a great time, and Kayden loves all of his gifts. He hasn't stopped playing with any of the toys yet!

Now its time for a party with the Janway's, since everyone came into town last night. So more cupcakes, more presents and more fun! Can't wait.

Thank you to everyone for all of your gifts and in sharing this past year with us. We couldn't have done it without any of you and are very thankful to have you all in our lives. We can't wait to see what's in store over the next years as Kayden becomes more involved and blossoms into his own little person! Love you all!!

One more week.....

Can you believe it??? In one more week Kayden will be 1!!! Whew! We made it to a year. Its definately been a life changing experience and we love every minute of it. Maybe this next year we'll actually go on a date without Kayden.... (it could happen....)

So what has the little man been up to? He's basically running every where. He's never in the same spot you leave him. He loves to go outside! I think he could sleep outside and be happy. Although I do still have to stop him from eating dirt...silly boy! He is up to 10 teeth! Don't stick your finger in his mouth because he bites hard. He eats anything (except maybe pea's). He is beginning to associate objects with words such as ball, snack, milk, bye bye, mama, dada, etc. His little smile melts my heart daily. He can be the biggest stinker but he knows that I'm wrapped around his finger. His newest trick is pushing the buttons on the TV. We definately need to do something about this. Hahaha Kayden thinks its hilarious! He's growing like crazy, I swear he's almost to my hip! And his blonde hair is gorgeous.

I'm turning 1!

We can't wait to see everyone in the next couple of weeks. Next weekend is Birthday Party #1 with the Palmers, and the next week the Janway's come to visit and we have Birthday Party #2 and Grandma Janway's bithday, Aunt Katie's Birthday, early birthday for Aunt Sarah and Daddy's Birthday! Whew! We're gonna be tired! But we can't wait to see everyone! Xoxoxoxo
