Touch a Truck

Saturday Brett took us down to Edmond to go to an event called Touch a Truck. They had about 20 different vehicles that the kids could climb into the drivers seat, look at, honk the horn, and just see some cool trucks. They included bucket trucks, a trash truck, cement truck, fire truck, police car, and several others. The kids had a great time. We met up with one of Brett's friend and his girlfriend and her daughter.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day weekend was nice. We enjoyed some nap time, breakfast out, some "window" car shopping and then we spent the afternoon visiting Brett's parents. I'm just glad I got to spend the day as a family and with the people I love. It doesn't get better than that.

Naptime on Saturday =) Love this kid

Cystic Fibrosis Walk

I have two charities that are close to my heart. Special Olympics and Cystic Fibrosis. I do my best to help out with each every year. Special Olympics is next week, so that is coming.... Cystic Fibrosis was this past weekend. I have two friends who battle this disease daily, Hannah and Andrea. So each year I join Andrea's team and do a walk for CF and raise money. Its fun to be a part of the group and support CF. The kids and I had a blast!

He looks at me says...Hohoho, I'm Santa!

After the CF Walk we went to Norman to the art show. On the way home this is how little man was.
He's still my baby boy. I love him to the moon and back!

Emergency Preparedness Fair, Carnival and Goats

Two weekends ago we managed to have a fun filled weekend. It started with an emergency preparedness fair at Boomer lake. Basically a bunch of people telling you to get prepared for storm season...blah blah blah. We live in Oklahoma. I know. Well we went for the fun stuff for the kids! The Eagle Med Helicopter came, firetrucks, national guard and more. K had his friends Reagan and Kain come, so the kids had a blast!

The boys (Reagan wanted nothing to do with it) lol

The national guard had some cool stuff!

After the preparedness fair we went home, had lunch and re-energized to go to the Carnival! This random carnival comes into Stillwater every year and sets up in the parking lot of a strip mall. I've never been, but Michele talked me into taking the kids. Kayden had a BLAST! He and Jack teamed up and went over and over and over (thankfully they had all you can ride wrist bands!!!).

They even convinced Michele to take them on a bigger ride since they weren't tall enough.
Thanks Michele!!!!

Jack and Kayden

Sunday morning we kept it simple. We ate yogurt for breakfast, Kayden liked his new flavor...margarita! No tequila involved. It was super tasty! And then that afternoon we headed over to check on the goats!! Who doesn't love sweet little baby goats. =) Even E liked them.

yogurt goodness

GOATS!!!!

K wanted to catch the black one (he's shy and kept running away)

This boy loved the goats!
(I made sister stay outside so she wouldn't get stepped on)

A fun filled weekend!!!

Easter

Easter happened to fall on the Arts Festival weekend, but luckily I was able to sneak away on Friday and go to the kids Easter Egg Hunt at school. This was the first year that both kids were able to participate so Brett and I split up. He went with K and I went with E. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast, got lots of eggs and we had a great time.

Waiting for the hunt to start

E did great at putting them in her basket

Welcome Gavin!

Easter weekend was the due date for Brett's brother Matt and his wife Andrea...
Well a few days early the little guy decided to make his grand appearance!
Baby Gavin and mom (and dad) are doing well!
Brett got the chance to meet him, but I was busy with the arts festival, so I'll meet him soon!
